    Still Chillin'
The first thing I did when I got home last night was check to see if we had hot water. After running for 2 seconds, steam was coming out of the kitchen faucet. Yippee!!

After an absolutely fantastic dinner, Beloved finally took a real shower. He came out glowering. He said that the water was just tepid, not hot. He figured that it got fixed during the day, and we didn't have enough hot water built up. We then watched Octopussy with the girls, and while we all had blankets on, the radiators were warm, so I thought all was well.

I got up at 9 this a.m., however, to a very cold house. I got up to pee, and heard our maintenance man in the basement, shouting. I ran the water - it was cool.

Now, 4 hours later, the hot water is back, but there have been intermittent noises from the basement. I don't think we're up to full heat in the house. Usually, if we have our heat on, I can't wear a sweatshirt. Now, I need one.

    Grr, argh.

Beloved and I are going to a fundraiser dinner at our kids' school tonight, a friend of mine from my school is babysitting. I need to clean the house all day. And I'm not sure I'll get to take a good shower!! Crap.
