    Insane
It is 4:12 p.m., and I just put the first solid chewable thing in my mouth of the day. I have been otherwise occasionally sucking on some vitamin C, and I had a cup of coffee. That's it.

Today was closing arguments - we thought we had a simple case, and that the jury would be out for all of 10 minutes. When it was coming up on 4 hours, we thought that our side was victorious, because of the circumstances.

It also had come to the lunch hour, so we (the two attorneys and myself) went to get food - thinking the jury would have broken to eat, and we had some stress-free time. I got a salad. As I was closing the cover and approaching the cash register, one of the attorneys said, "They came back! We need to get this to go!"

Then we found out we lost, then the judge chatted a bit, then we lugged our stuff to one of the attorney's car, then we finally, at 2:15, were back in the office. I had a voice mail that appeared urgent, so I put my then-one-hour-old salad on my desk while I went to find out what the new (rush) assignment was.

Now my salad is 3 hours old. I am not sure I want it .... so I ate a string cheese.

I'm starting to feel a bit of a pinch here at work. A lot of things were put on the back burner due to the trial, and now when I should be moving them frontward (and thensome), I'm getting new stuff that is demanding the prime position.

I only have 3 weeks left!!
