and any other words i can think of to describe the feeling i have today - i was given and i accepted a position of permanent employment at Summer Firm.
It feels very nice to have this security. I do not know how long term I am looking at this point, but some of my experience has been positive enough (i.e., the pro bono opportunities and the "firm culture") that part of me hopes that I can find a way to maintain a balance and have a longer term career there. THe other part of me is skeptical, and thinks there's no way, and plans to be out within 5 years.
Only the experience of being IN it, as a real lawyer - not as a spoiled brat, will tell. |
