    sore throat
    also known as; wimping out.

i just woke at 6:15 in order to go running before I come home, shower, and wake my daughter so I can take her to her acting thingamajiggy.

but my throat hurts, and i'm just so exhausted that my vision is bleary.

so i'm not going running today. i am going to rest on the couch until 7 or so, and then get in the shower and wake my daughter so on and so forth.

today is a mellow day. i don't have classes, but decided that for the first time in my law school career, I am going to "read ahead." I have the goal, which I think is reasonable, to never bring books home this year. If I want that to work out, I'm going to have to use my days wisely, and this is one way in which to do that. Reading ahead on Fridays. This Friday makes it feel especially nerdy, since Monday is Labor Day, and I only have one class on Tuesday, at 3:15 p.m. So I will, on Friday, do my reading for Tuesday and Wednesday. I'm kind of sick of tax, so I'll probably do my reading for Wednesday, and save Tax for Tuesday.

For now, however, I think I'm gonna doze for a wee bit. (30 minutes). Perhaps I'll dream of running, and that will burn a few calories.

Oh for heaven's sake Zus, thank goodness! I'm so glad to see that FOR ONCE you slowed down!!! Although I love being awestruck by the powerhouse known as Zuska, I think sometimes you run yourself raggid - it's good to see that you can chill.

And if you ask me, dreaming about running definitely burns calories. And it's really fun because you get out of breath!

I've really gotten to like this read ahead thing. Last weekend I read through Thursdays work. Today I'm hoping to get everything done for the week. I'm on Thursday now. I hate that feeling of having to stay up until 1am reading Crim Law for the next day. Yuck.
