more than you want to know about a law school graduate/bar examinee who is also raising two children and doing her best at being a partner to her love.
I know you can't read ALL the things she loves about me, so a transcription is included.
"Dear Mom, This is the list of things I love about you 1 you love us back 2 sometimes you make dinner 3 you buy us treats 4 you let us stay up until 8:30 5 you don't get too cranky during exams 6 you play punch buggy 7 you let us have sleepover parties 8 you play games 9 you go on trips with us 10 you aren't mean 11 you don't spank us 12 you make us stuff"
Interesting points: 1) everything is "us." Not "me." I'm not sure what I think of that, but I find it noteworthy. 2) I don't think she has any friends who having parents who "spank" their kids -- it's pretty mainstream at this point, I think, not to raise a hand to your children as a form of discipline. Perhaps I'm off. I just thought it was a non-issue. Not inaction equaling action.
