What a weekend |
This weekend had within it my 3rd grade daughter's first school play; a visit from my parents; an interview with a new after-school childcare provider; making 52 Valentines to pass out in school; and the culmination of my Legal Practice class ... a summary judgment argument in front of a real-live judge!!!
All went well, really. Nothing to complain about. The summary judgment argument was a success, I think. There are a few things niggling at the back of my mind .. "should have I done a rebuttal?" "Did he mean he heard all he needed when he said a very conclusive "Thank You." Things like that. But his feedback at the end was glowing, and I will chill. Or try.
We get our grades from LAST SEMESTER on Wednesday. My stress would be directed 100% toward that if I didn't have to fire my babysitter tomorrow. She's an older woman (older than my parents) who is driving all FOUR of us in my family bonkers. She's very instructive and meddling, and .... well, really annoying. I thought it was just ME who was being driven out of my skin during the 10 minute overlap in the afternoons when I came home by the list of things that I must do this weekend in order to be a morally sound parent, but then the girls started to complain. And they started giving reports of her falling asleep all the time, and one day, she left my 3rd grader at the library alone, and that bothered me.
So, my grades are in the background. Which is nice. Really. There's nothing I can do about grades now, right? |
