occular allergies |
Thing One's dr. appointment was this a.m. her blinking is NOT just a habit/tic, she has occular allergies. the insides of her eyelids are all red and irritated. Fortunately, her vision is perfect, as is the internal working of her eyes. She has very healthy (albeit irritated) eyes.
But we're home right now. they dilated her eyes, and they were already sensitive to bright lights with the irritation, and the dilation made it worse. So I am "working from home" again. We're also, at the same time, watching The Price is Right, which reminds me of summers from my school days - when I watched this show every. single. day. She's never seen it before. She's enjoying the crazy reactions people have.
I will take her into school as soon as her pupils shrink up, and she stops "looking like an owl" (her take on the situation). Her play is next weekend, and they're having daily practices, and she really can't miss.
Update: So, I told Thing One that the best game on Price is Right is Plinko, but tha they play it rarely, so I'm sure she won't get to see it. But guess what? she's a lucky owl. She gets to see her mom's favorite Price is Right game.
In the meantime, I'm off to do some research on buffer zones. |

The Lexis rep at my school used to have a Plinko board he brought like once or twice a semester and you would get plinko chips for whatever it was (bringing statutory research or something) and I ended up winning a couple of insulated mugs. Nothing great, but man, it was super cool to play even fake Plinko.
